We are proud to be Carlisle’s first Restore Scar Therapy
Restore Scar Therapy is a specialized, advanced manual therapy designed to address the complex physiological changes in tissue following surgical intervention, trauma, or injury.
This comprehensive clinical approach targets disorganized collagen fiber alignment, fascial adhesions, and localized fibrosis beneath the skin’s surface.
We successfully treat all types of scars, with a main focus on Cesarean section and cosmetic scars, alongside burn scars, oncology-related scarring, skin grafts, and orthopedic surgical scars.
Scar therapy helps by significantly reducing common symptoms like pain, tightness, and localized sensitivity. Many clients experience an improvement in range of motion, as well as relief from sensations such as tingling or numbness by encouraging better movement between the layers of skin, fascia, and muscle.
Beyond the physical benefits, this specialized care supports emotional recovery by helping clients reconnect with their bodies and regain confidence in their physical appearance.
Individuals can begin scar therapy as soon as the scar is fully closed, typically six to eight weeks post-surgery or injury, when there is no scabbing or weeping.
Furthermore, it is never too late to start; even mature, long-standing scars that are years old can benefit, with research showing that mature scars can significantly improve with this intervention.
Whether you're preparing for surgery or recovering from it, lymphatic drainage works with your body at every stage, reducing swelling, preventing fibrosis and helping you heal faster.
Scar tissue doesn't have to be permanent. RESTORE Scar Therapy uses advanced hands-on techniques to soften, mobilise and desensitise scars, improving texture, flexibility and comfort whether your scar is weeks or years old.
Caesarean scars are more complex than they appear, affecting multiple layers of tissue and often causing tightness, numbness or a pulling sensation that can persist for years. RESTORE Scar Therapy works directly on the scar and the surrounding fascia to restore mobility, improve sensitivity and reduce discomfort.
Cancer surgery leaves scars that carry more than physical impact. RESTORE Scar Therapy works gently and knowledgeably with oncology scars — including mastectomy, lumpectomy and stoma scars — to improve mobility, sensation and comfort, always within a safe, unhurried and deeply respectful environment.
